Alla Trubetskaya began her early professional life as an intellectual and a journalist.
After receiving her two Master's Degrees from Moscow State University (Economics
and Journalism), she embarked on an award-winning career as a family-issues
journalist and editor. Her introduction of a matchmaking and
advice column in a major newspaper was a popular success, regularly receiving over 20,000 letters per month from
devoted readers. She has both an intuitive and an expert understanding of
Russian culture and character. Most importantly, she has an empathetic and
deep comprehension of the nature and needs of Russian women.
Alla has received numerous awards for her work as a journalist, specializing in articles on human relations and branching out to become one of Moscow's first "media family consultants." She has been a frequent television show guest, appeared in a U.S. documentary film, and generally has been on call when matters arise concerning anything about 'from Russia with love.' Articles about her appear in Moscow Times, Moscow News, Family Magazine, Soviet Women, and Arguments and Facts.
Alla Trubetskaya and her American business partner - Royce Stanton - founded their matchmaking service in 1994 upon her emigration to the United States. This service is now known as "Venets."
As a woman who made the trek to America, she knew she could act as a bridge between Russian women and American men. She also wanted to serve successful American men with her seemingly magical abilities as a matchmaker, counselor and guide. So many accomplished men, who toiled away to achieve business success as thirty-somethings and forty-somethings, often find that they haven't had the opportunity, or the time, to find a woman suitable as a mate. Most were just too busy earning their success. Alla recognized that they wanted not only beautiful wives, but also women with whom they could speak easily and soulfully, a companion who possessed intelligence, a compatible worldview and interests, and the class to enjoy the lifestyle that the man had worked so hard to attain.
During her 12 years as an international matchmaker, Alla has proven again and again her uncanny ability to lead her clients to precisely what they desire in their partners. She does this, confidentially and discreetly, by drawing on her extensive and vibrant network of contacts in Russia. Alla is essentially her clients' personal "headhunter" in the top echelons of Russian society.
